Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde has confirmed he is feeling fine after being stretchered off against Las Palmas on Saturday.
Balde was taken off in the first half after a heavy clash with Sandro Ramirez. The left-back looked in real discomfort afterwards and appeared to be struggling to breathe.
The Barcelona defender has now taken to social media to confirm all is well and that he is fully recovered.
He posted on Instagram: “It was just a scare. I’m fine! Thank you all.”
The news is a big relief after some worrying scenes when Balde went down at Montjuic and hopefully the defender will be able to return against Real Mallorca on Tuesday.
Hansi Flick does also have Gerard Martin available to play at left-back, although the 22-year-old has found it difficult to impress this season in the first team.
Barca will be chasing a win and a clean sheet on Tuesday night. Their last victory in La Liga came against Espanyol at the start of November, while their last clean sheet in the Spanish top flight was in El Clasico.
