Player Ratings: Real Madrid 2 - 0 Getafe; 2024 La Liga

_Full match player ratings below:_

**Thibaut Courtois—7:** Relatively little to do in a comfortable game, although Getafe did manage to hit the post twice.

**Lucas Vazquez—6:** Solid return to the starting XI with support to double down opposition from Valverde and Asensio.

**Raul Asensio—8:** Game after game, the canterano impresses. His attitude, composure, and overall decision-making have been superb. Despite being just 6 ft, the defender is excellent in the air and won all (3) of his aerial duels against Álvaro—a striker taller than him. Without a doubt, he deserves his place in the team.

**Antonio Rudiger—8:** Got the better of Nyom on set pieces and forced the defender to foul him twice, the second time resulting in a penalty kick. Has proved to be the perfect veteran partner to Asensio.

**Fran Garcia—7:** Gaining further confidence with each game—one of his best matches in a Madrid shirt.

**Dani Ceballos—8.5:** Man of the match alongside Jude Bellingham. Played as the “5” and was crucial in the team’s build-up out of the back. Covered large parts of the pitch and defended well in the middle. Finished the game with 110 touches, 89/95 passes completed, 6/8 long balls, was fouled 3 times, had 3 tackles, 2 interceptions, and won 7 of 10 ground duels.

**Fede Valverde—7.5:** Earned the applause of the Bernabéu on multiple occasions with his recovery speed and ball-winning in important parts of the pitch.

**Jude Bellingham—8.5:** Stepped up and scored the go-ahead goal via a well-taken penalty. Later threaded an inch-perfect through ball to Mbappé for the second goal. Played only 45 minutes but was extremely impactful on the ball.

**Brahim—6:** A quieter match by Brahim’s standards but still finished the game with 3 key passes.

**Rodrygo—6:** Good return from injury—was excellent off the dribble.

**Mbappé—6:** Scored a brilliant goal from outside the box, curling his shot to the back post leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. Despite his goal, still looked short of confidence. Missed three to four other clear-cut chances and easily could have walked away with a hat trick. Decision-making in transition still leaves a lot to be desired.

**Substitutions:**

**Arda Guler—6:** Well-executed passes inside the box, including a sliding pass to an overlapping Lucas, but was otherwise quiet.

**Luka Modric—6:** Came on for Rodrygo in the 70th minute with the game in a comfortable state and a 2-0 scoreline.
