Everton will be desperate to forget about Sunday’s result against Manchester United, though Michael Owen actually highlighted a positive about the Toffees.
Sean Dyche hasn’t made life any easier for himself after marching straight down the tunnel at full-time at Old Trafford, with fans far from happy with the Everton boss right now.
However, Alan Myers believes that Dyche won’t be sacked until the takeover is complete in a couple of weeks time, which could be too late.
With Wolves up next, and then a run of five of the top six teams, it’s not looking good.
However, Michael Owen of all people spotted a positive in the 4-0 loss to Manchester United, as he shared something that shocked him about Everton.
Michael Owen shocked at how threatening Everton looked
Michael Owen is one of the last people you would expect to compliment Everton after his time at Merseyside rivals Liverpool, but here we are.

Speaking as a pundit for the Premier League, he stated.
“Everton have been quite good actually. I mean they’ve looked a lot more threatening than I thought they would be, just the final pass has not quite been there.”

What was the issue against Manchester United?
Everton looked the better side towards the start of the game, but heads dropped as soon as the opener went in and it was all downhill from there.
There was a bit more of a press imposed by Everton in the first half, which worked to their advantage as the Toffees picked up the ball high up the pitch on numerous occasions.
However, the end-product was lacking from every single player in blue, with positive chances often being squandered by a misplaced pass or a pointless shot from distance.
It seems crazy to think that Everton hadn’t conceded in three games prior to the Old Trafford loss, as the defending was all over the place and the defenders lacked any real fight.
Mykolenko was even seen shying away from the ball and backing off at times.
