Mohamed Salah of Liverpool celebrating after scoring the second goal during the Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Manchester City FC
The countdown to the transfer window is well underway, and speculation is already rife over who and what teams are targeting next month in a bid to save their season or to relaunch their quest for glory.
Liverpool are riding high atop the Premier League following their win over Manchester City but still must resolve the contracts of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Each will be able to speak to clubs in Europe from the beginning of January.
Pep Guardiola's side meanwhile may dip into the market in the hope of filling the gaping hole left by Rodri's absence. The champions appear to require reinforcements to help fix their unprecedented form.
It's not expected to be a busy time for Arsenal, though they could see some departures. Manchester United however, may see Ruben Amorim look to leave an early mark on the side he inherited in November.
Tottenham could be tempted to find solutions with the likes of star goalkeer Guglielmo Vicario out of action, while Chelsea are never far away from being linked to a deal. The Blues could see exits with Ben Chilwell out of the picture under Enzo Maresca.

Mo Salah 'gone'
Liverpool should consider Mohamed Salah to be as good as gone following his public statement about his contract, according to Harry Redknapp.
The forward once again found himself on the scoresheet against Man City to continue an impressive season but is set to see his deal expire in January.
Redknapp isn't confident Salah will stick around.
“If he hasn’t signed by now, then to me Salah is gone, despite those comments about the club not coming up with a new offer like he did," he said. Find out what else he said here.
