Dan Bardell believes West Ham would demand “massive money” for Jarrod Bowen if a team like Chelsea showed interest.
The 27-year-old has been urged to depart the London Stadium after a difficult start to the season for the Hammers under Julen Lopetegui.
The Irons captain has been an ever-present since joining from Hull City in 2020, scoring 64 goals and cementing his importance in the side.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks the forward loves life at the London Stadium and would be reluctant to move even for a large transfer fee from the likes of Chelsea.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Bardell said: “It depends where he could move and how often he would play.

“He’s 27 now, he’s at his peak, when you hit 27, 28, clubs will become reluctant to spend big money on you and Bowen would obviously cost massive money.
“He obviously enjoys being at West Ham, I just question why he would ever want to leave. They are a good club and he is the talisman, I just think players move too quickly and I’m not too sure it would be good for his career to move.
“*Let’s say he went to Chelsea, he actually could end up out of the team but at West Ham, he knows he’s going to play every week.*“

It would represent a huge blow in East London if the England international was to depart, such is his importance to the side.
His quality and leadership in the side help drive the Hammers forward but his exit would also represent a large drop off of quality in the squad.
This would pile pressure on wide forwards like Mohammed Kudus and Crysencio Summerville, leaving Lopetegui’s squad light in those areas.

No matter how much the Irons could demand for Bowen’s signature, his exit feels unlikely from the club and the player’s point of view.
