There wasn’t a lot to complain about for Chelsea fans yesterday after they saw their side win 3-0 over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer found the net in a dominant display, and secured three points in a game Enzo Maresca took some chances with his team selection.
The manager decided to not name a recognised right-back in his starting line-up, instead shifting Moises Caicedo out there.
This allowed Fernandez to retain his place in the starting side, and he repaid that with his second goal in as many Premier League games.
There was a rare clean sheet for the Blues to celebrate too, with that no doubt doing wonders for the confidence of Robert Sanchez in goal.

Renato Veiga applauds Robert Sanchez despite Stamford Bridge unrest
It is fair to say Chelsea fans have not been too convinced by Sanchez this season, although he has kept the faith of manager Maresca throughout the campaign.
While there were only few moments of worry for the Blues yesterday, there was a moment where he had kicked the ball out of play that drew concern from some corners of Stamford Bridge.
However, according to LondonWorld, Renato Veiga was quick to clap the Spaniard, despite not actually being on the pitch at the time.

Sanchez vs Filip Jorgensen 24/25
There will have been many wondering whether it was time for Filip Jorgensen to start his first Premier League game after a very impressive display in Europe.

Clean sheets 3 3

Errors leading to goals 3 0
Chelsea have the belief that Jorgensen suits Maresca’s style perfectly, however that has so far not seen him become a regular in the Chelsea side.
Despite not being the most popular member of the starting XI amongst supporters, it is no doubt a good sign that the manager is willing to back Sanchez profusely, and he has a chance to back up that faith with a busy festive fixture run.
