Newcastle United ‘at forefront’ for player – Club willing to lower demand after requesting €30m in summer

Newcastle United are among the clubs chasing AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori, according to a report from Italy.

The centre-back has made eight league appearances this season, including six starts. He was limited to 11 minutes in last six league games and was an unused substitute on four occasions.

Calciomercato.it state the 26-year-old isn’t able to perform as expected and therefore, could leave the San Siro next year. When discussing interested parties, Newcastle and Juventus are tagged.

Juve are closely monitoring the England international’s situation with the Serie A side, but they have to be wary of the competition from the Premier League.

It’s claimed the Turin club have to be wary of the Magpies, who are ‘at the forefront’ to sign the defender.

The former Chelsea man has a deal lasting until 2027 and Milan requested around €30m for him in the summer window. The report now states the Rossoneri are willing to lower their request, without mentioning any figures.

A transfer could be on the cards for Tomori in 2025 and the Magpies are leading the race to secure his services.
