Everton are on a real slide and that was evident on Sunday afternoon when they suffered a bruising 4-0 loss to Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United.
Sean Dyche’s side sat in a low block and tried to absorb wave after wave of United attack but there were too many poor performances at the back to keep them at bay.
Jarrad Branthwaite was mistake-ridden whilst his centre-back partner James Tarkowski endured a difficult afternoon, too.
The defeat leaves Everton in 15th place and just two points above 18th-placed Wolves ahead of a torrid run of fixtures – which could actually spell the end of Dyche’s career at Goodison Park.
The Friedkin Group are eyeing Maurizio Sarri to replace him after it emerged that he is keen to return to the Premier League in January.
Anyhow, whilst Dyche remains in post, the prospect of relegation looms and former manager David Moyes has just issued his prediction on whether Everton will get relegated.

David Moyes thinks Everton will survive relegation
Speaking on Match of the Day 2, David Moyes insisted that Everton have enough about them to stay up this season.
“There is. I think Everton have got enough to stay out of it but they’re going to have to win the games they can,” Moyes explained.

“Today was always going to be a hard game against Manchester United and Dychey sort of eluded to that.
“But they gave away goals that were really unlike them. They need to be much better defensively, they need to get their set-pieces back working because over the last season or two they have been very good defending and attacking.”
Alan Shearer tips Everton to stay up
Former Newcastle and England striker Alan Shearer agreed with Moyes and believes Everton will avoid relegation this term.
“I do think they will have enough,” Shearer said.
“They’re not going to be judged on Manchester United away. They’ll be looking to Wolves, to Ipswich, to Southampton and all the other teams. Historically, over the years, they have just had enough and I do think that will be the case.”
Everton now turn their attention to relegation rivals Wolves on Wednesday in what’s become a must-win game for Dyche.
