Major boost as Barcelona key trio train with group ahead of Mallorca clash

As Barcelona get set to take on RCD Mallorca tomorrow in La Liga away from home, they have received major positive news on the fitness and injury front.

The Blaugrana have gone winless in their previous three La Liga games and will be desperate to bag all three points tomorrow at Son Moix.

Ahead of the game, Hansi Flick & co. appear set to welcome a long-term absentee back in the squad while two more key players are expected to be available after injury scares.

Araujo, Balde, Olmo train regularly with the group

Indeed, as reported by Alex Pintanel, Barcelona trio Ronald Araujo, Alejandro Balde, and Dani Olmo all trained regularly with the group today, hinting at their availability for tomorrow’s trip to Mallorca.

Araujo has been out of action since July after sustaining an injury during the 2024 Copa America. The key defender had begun training individually last month and rejoined the group this past Sunday.

Having done another session with the entire squad today, he could be in line to make a much-awaited return to the squad.

Meanwhile, Olmo did not play against Las Palmas on Saturday as he was dealing with a minor niggle. However, it was always expected that he would be ready to face Mallorca and him training with the group suggests the same.

As for Balde, the left-back had been stretchered off the field during the Las Palmas game after a collision with an opponent left him struggling to breathe and retching.

However, the Spaniard has recovered from the blow to his trachea and trained normally today, with all signs pointing at him being ready for Tuesday’s encounter.

Barcelona, however, will still be without Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen and Ansu Fati for the game.
