Ally McCoist and Andy Townsend believe Everton have enough about them this season to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Toffees find themselves 15th in the Premier League table and are just two points adrift of the drop zone.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (2 December, 08:35am), McCoist and Townsend shared their thoughts on the Toffees’ situation.
“At the moment, what [Everton] need to do is stick together, keep going, keep believing and hope that they get to the end of the season with their Premier League status intact – I believe it will be,” he said.
To which Ally McCoist replied: “So do I.”
Everton have a lot of ground to make up in Premier League
Sean Dyche has left Everton fans with a lot of questions regarding whether he’s the correct man to lead the club into its new era next season.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The Friedkin Group’s takeover is set to be completed before the end of 2025 and will be a more than welcome breath of fresh air around the camp.
The Toffees’ season so far has been below par, and while nobody expected the team to be competing for the European places, there was at least a glimmer of hope that they’d be able to finish in the top half of the table after the transfer window they had.

There have been points this season when the Merseyside outfit have proven their worth and have shown that they can compete with some of the bigger and better teams in the league.
However, these performances have come too far and few between one another. Unless things come together on a consistent basis, their season will no doubt keep getting more and more difficult.
