Leicester City were beaten in the Premier League over the weekend by Brentford. Simply put, it was not a good showing from the Foxes and a sign that better things must come.

Of course, Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge of the club after the result. The Dutch manager, in his first permanent Premier League managerial role, is hopeful that he can turn things around for the Foxes.

Reflecting on his new role, Ruud van Nistelrooy claimed that he had many positive conversations about Leicester City. He said that everybody is enthusiastic and recalls great stories about the Foxes.

In his own words, Ruud van Nistelrooy said: "I'm proud (to be Leicester manager), I'm excited. Everybody I speak to about Leicesteser City Football Club is enthusiatic, has great stories about the quality of people working in the club. The supporters also, of course, the recent history of the club is impressive. So, you know, I'm dead excited to start."

Regardless what you think about Leicester City firing Steve Cooper so soon, this is the decision which the club have made. Now, the Foxes must live with it and work hard to justify the decision going forward.

Either way, Ruud van Nistelrooy is the manager now. So, every single Leicester fan will get behind him and hopefully this will transcend onto the pitch. He is clearly excited to manage, which shows he has high ambitions and big plans to turn the club around.

If he is already impressed by the quality of the staff at the club, then Ruud will only continue to foster a great environment at the club. Things can only improve from here, right Foxes?
