Manchester United will travel to London to play Arsenal on Wednesday night. Gunners have been handed a huge boost as two important United players will be absent for the clash.
Both Arsenal and United had a very good weekend recently. Gunners destroyed West Ham by 5-2 to move on to the second position in Premier League. On the other hand, Red Devils demolished Everton as they scored 4 goals and kept a clean sheet as well.
United are undefeated since Amorim took over and will hope to keep the streak going for long time. Their hopes will be to finish in the top 4 this season. On the other hand, Gunners will hope to once again challenge for title and hence will want to win all of the upcoming games.
Arsenal receive major boost ahead of Manchester United clash
Gunners have received a major boost which is surely a very big blow for United. The Red Devils will be without two key players on wednesday. The players are Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez.
Mainoo and Martinez were both booked in the second half yesterday. This was their fifth booking of this season which will be followed by penalty. As a result, they both will face a one game ban.
Both Mainoo and Martinez are playing a key role for new boss Ruben Amorim. Their absence may destroy the ongoing rhythm and Arsenal will hope to take the advantage of this situation.
We can very likely see Manuel Ugarte replacing Mainoo but Mason Mount is another strong candidate. As for Martinez, it is very likely that Harry Maguire will replace him. But, Amorim can also use Luke Shaw who is left footed and who has already played as a centre back in the past.
