Jorginho makes Premier League title race prediction as Arsenal advantage over Liverpool revealed

Jorginho has highlighted Arsenal's home advantage as a potential key factor in the coming months. The Gunners are looking at a comfortable schedule, with just one trip out of London – to Brighton – until late January.

Their rivals Liverpool and Manchester City face more than 3,500 miles of travel each in the same period. In stark contrast, Arsenal's travel will amount to a mere 150 miles.

With eight out of their next 12 games at the Emirates Stadium, including a high-profile duel with Manchester United this Wednesday, Jorginho emphasised the opportunity at hand: "I think it might help," the Italian admitted.

"But we need to be ready for anything and trying to win in any context. We need to try and use our strength at home to win as much as possible."

Meanwhile, West Ham's Jarrod Bowen lamented his team's poor showing in their recent thrashing by Arsenal. "To be 4-0 down at home in the first half is unacceptable," the Englishman said.

As the Hammers prepare to face a determined Leicester on Tuesday, they'll be looking to recover from the setback which has ramped up the pressure on head coach Julen Lopetegui after such an optimistic victory against Newcastle last Monday. Despite goals from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson Palmieri, the Irons were simply overwhelmed early in the game, finding themselves four goals down before making any mark on the match, reports the Express.

"It was hugely disappointing," Bowen said. "I think with the way we started the game, the goals that we conceded, and the position we found ourselves in at 4-0 down after 36 minutes, it was never a good thing."

"At 4-2 we thought it could have been a different game, and we felt the energy. It was a lot better from us, but we conceded another penalty, and from that point it's difficult.

"It wasn't a good day for us, and we're disappointed for the game to finish in the way it did. For us to be 4-0 down at home in the first half is unacceptable. The goals were very easy to avoid, and as a team we made too many mistakes. And against a top team like Arsenal, you’re going to get punished.”
