Jamie Carragher believes he knows where Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the Premier League this season.
The Lilywhites have failed to find any consistency so far in 2024/25 and haven’t won back-to-back Premier League games since September.
Spurs have enjoyed some highs, most notably thrashing Manchester City 4-0 at the Etihad. However, that result represents their only win in their last five across all competitions, surrounded in the Premier League by a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town and a 1-1 draw with Fulham — both at home.
Consequently, Spurs now sit seventh in the table, three points adrift of Brighton in the fourth and final Champions League place and Man City in fifth.

Spurs can, at least, take some solace in the fact they’re a point and two places above Manchester United in the table.
However, the Red Devils are already showing signs of improvement under new manager Ruben Amorim.
So, can Spurs stay ahead of Man Utd and, if so, where will that leave them in the European race?
Carragher thinks he knows the answer.
“Now in fifth place, this is the biggest mistake I’ve made in my predictions. I had Manchester United in fifth place in my predictions. I don’t think there’s a chance United finish in fifth position,” the former Liverpool defender told Sky Sports’ TikTok channel.
He added: “I’d be very surprised if they finish in the top six. I’m going to go for Tottenham. I’ve said that Tottenham will miss out on the Champions League positions with Chelsea going in there. I’m going to put Tottenham in fifth position.”
It’s safe to say that Spurs fans would not be happy with missing out on Champions League football again.
However, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea look nailed-on to finish in the top four this season, while there’s surely no chance Man City’s slump can carry on much longer.
That, coupled with the threats of Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Man Utd, Newcastle and Aston Villa make the race for European spots incredibly competitive.
With their inconsistency, fifth may not represent a bad finish for Spurs.
