Liverpool claimed another statement win in the Premier League with a 2-0 result against Manchester City.
Cody Gakpo’s first-half tap-in coupled with Mohamed Salah’s penalty was enough to secure all three points for Liverpool against Pep Guardiola’s side, who are now winless in their last seven games in all competitions.
With Arne Slot explaining why he feels no sympathy for Guardiola, Liverpool are now comfortably in the driving seat for the Premier League title with the December slate of fixtures now well underway, with the Reds facing a huge month in a brilliant position.
And Gakpo has shared what Liverpool players were all saying in the dressing room after beating City.

Liverpool players know the real challenge starts now
With so much football to be played this month and injuries starting to pile up for Liverpool, the real challenge of the season will begin now, with this week’s games against Newcastle and Everton huge.
The Reds have passed every test placed before them this season with flying colours, with last week’s wins against Real Madrid and City two of the best any team in European football could ask for.
Yet titles are won by winning games against the rest of the league, and two wins away from home against Newcastle and Everton will be huge in Liverpool’s quest to bring the Premier League back to Anfield.
