Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League title this season have been revealed by Opta's supercomputer.

The Reds moved nine points clear at the top of the table on Sunday with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Manchester City, and they are now 11 points ahead of the champions.

Arsenal and Chelsea lead the chasing pack, with the Reds winning 11 of their 13 games so far, also drawing one and suffering one defeat - at home by Nottingham Forest.

Arne Slot's side are the frontrunners to win the league with 25 matches remaining - a trophy lift that would see them lift their second-ever Premier League title in their first season under Slot.

And with the odds in their favour, stats gurus Opta have revealed just how likely Liverpool are to win the league with their latest supercomputer numbers.

According to the stats platform, Mohamed Salah and Co have an 85.1 per cent chance of winning the Premier League this season - a number that has increased on the back of Sunday's win.

The Reds took a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League after beating Manchester City

Arsenal's chances have also increased following the weekend's results in the top flight

Arne Slot's Reds, however, are the heavy favourites to claim just their second Prem title

Before the game, Liverpool were eight points clear at the top of the table, with their chances of success rated at 80.4 per cent.

That's an increase of 4.7 per cent based off that game alone, with City now without a win in four Premier League matches - losing all of them - and seven matches in total, including two Champions League ties and a League Cup defeat.

City, who are currently fourth in the Premier League table, may now have their sights set on Champions League qualification rather than winning the league, but their chances of winning the league are now ranked at 4.4 per cent.

That's down from 9.5 per cent before the game - a 5.1 per cent decrease from before kick off, meaning their chances have less than halved.

Arsenal appear to be Liverpool's closes rivals, with their chances ranked at 9.8 per cent, representing a small increase of 0.3 per cent from before the weekend.

The Gunners themselves are in fine form, beating West Ham 5-2 at the weekend and with a run of favourable fixtures ahead of them. They have already played Liverpool this season, drawing 2-2 at Anfield.
