Eleven Premier League stars have been nominated for the men's 2024 Fifpro team of the year with seven coming from Premier League champions Manchester City.

Only European champions Real Madrid - with eight - have more nominations than City, including Kylian Mbappe who joined Real from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The seven City players nominated are goalkeeper Ederson, defenders Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker, midfielders Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden and striker Erling Haaland.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk makes the cut but there is no place for Mo Salah who scored his 11th Premier League goal of the season on Sunday's 2-0 win over City.

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has been named on the list for the first time after his breakthrough season for club and country.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane and Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham are the other England internationals in the shortlist while Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is also included.
