Arsenal star Kai Havertz has dismissed suggestions that the Premier League title race is over, insisting “nothing can stop” the Gunners if they deliver their best performances, starting with their showdown against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
Mikel Arteta’s side, currently second in the league, have regained momentum with three consecutive wins in all competitions. However, they face an uphill battle in chasing down a dominant Liverpool side, managed by Arne Slot, who sit nine points clear at the top after 13 matches.
Speaking ahead of the high-stakes fixture, Havertz acknowledged the difficulty of the task but emphasised Arsenal’s resilience and determination.
“We’ve been in this race before,” Havertz told Sky Sports. “We know how tough it is. The Premier League gets harder every year, and now Liverpool are performing at the highest level every week. You have to give them credit.

“But there are still lots of games to play, lots of points to win. We’re ready for the fight. We want to give our best week in, week out, to get three points and compete with the best.”

While Liverpool have surged ahead as title favourites, defending champions Manchester City have struggled this season, sitting fifth and 11 points off the pace. Arsenal, buoyed by recent performances, aim to capitalise on this unique opportunity to stay in contention.

Havertz also spoke about the challenge posed by a resurgent Manchester United under new manager Ruben Amorim, who remains unbeaten in the league since taking over.
“When a new manager comes in, they change the style of play, the system, the players,” Havertz said. “But for us, the focus is on ourselves. We believe in our strengths, and when we play our best game, nothing can stop us.”
Kai Havertz, who has nine goals across all competitions this season, played a key role in Arsenal’s recent 5-2 triumph over West Ham. The Gunners showcased their attacking depth in the win, with goals from Gabriel Magalhães, Leandro Trossard, Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Havertz himself.
