Chelsea will not entertain offers for Mykhailo Mudryk in January despite renewed speculation over his future.

The Ukraine international has had a torrid time at Stamford Bridge since joining the club for Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 in the wake of a massive transfer battle between Chelsea and Arsenal.

Mudryk had been one of Europe's most in-demand players but almost two years on from his move, the 23-year-old can't be regarded as anything but a flop considering he cost up to €100 million.

The winger is now part of Chelsea's 'B Team,' the players Enzo Maresca uses in competitions outside of the Premier League and Mudryk barely gets a kick in domestic league action.

The only game Mudryk has started in the Premier League was the 6-2 beatdown of Wolves on Matchday 2 but he was hooked by Maresca at half-time.

Chelsea won't offload Mudryk

In light of his disappointing time at Chelsea, speculation surrounding his future has been rampant for months. In January and in the summer, Chelsea received approaches for him but rejected them out of hand.

The Blues made a point of keeping the faith in Mudryk but earlier on Monday a report claimed that the Blues had, at last, given up on him and were ready to get rid of him in January.

However, according to Ben Jacobs, that could not be further from the truth. The journalist, who is close to Chelsea, asserts that the club have no intention of entertaining January offers, loan or permanent. They still back Mudryk despite the fact that he only seems capable of performing against 'lesser' opposition.

Mudryk's only goal contributions this season have come in matches Chelsea won without breaking much of a sweat. He has scored three goals in the Conference League and provided four assists in the competition (including qualifying).

He also notched an assist against League Two side Barrow in the Carabao Cup. However, despite the volume of contributions, it's hardly an impressive feat.
