Wednesday’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers is arguably the biggest of the lot, as a loss would likely see the Toffees drop into the relegation zone.

The frustration is building and building on Merseyside, with the atmosphere at Goodison Park on Wednesday night looking like it will be very hostile.

Sean Dyche didn’t help his cause after the Man United defeat, as he headed straight down the tunnel.

When speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, Alan Shearer revealed what David Moyes told him about his managerial plans and how he’s waiting for the right opportunity.

“He wants to get back into management, that’s what he said, but he wants the right opportunity at the right time.”

The Friedkin Group make David Moyes their priority

The Friedkin Group have already identified David Moyes as the man to replace Sean Dyche should he be relieved of his managerial duties at Everton.

It’s stated that Moyes is liked by some of Friedkin Group’s team because he knows what it takes to survive in the Premier League.

An Everton return would appeal to the 61-year-old, but that’s only if the contract is right for him and he is convinced about the new owners, their ideas and the budget.

However, any kind of movement may have to wait until the Friedkin Group have completed their takeover, as Alan Myers has stated that Farhad Moshiri makes the decision until then.
