With the January transfer window just around the corner, most European clubs have stepped up their efforts in the market.
Real Madrid are no exception. Although the Spanish giants have historically avoided the idea of reinforcing the team in January, their ongoing injury troubles have forced the club to consider a few moves.
Real Madrid eye move for Hugo Larsson
To that end, a recent report from Patrick Berger indicates that Real Madrid are among the clubs interested in the services of Hugo Larsson.
The 20-year-old midfielder currently plies his trade for Eintracht Frankfurt. Despite his age, the Dane has been a consistent performer in the Bundesliga.
The youngster has already racked up over 50 competitive appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, impressing onlookers with his all-round performances.

Larsson’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid keeping close tabs on his progress at Frankfurt. In fact, Los Blancos were tracking the player even before his move to Frankfurt in 2023.
Stiff competition for Larsson
However, Real Madrid are not the only club interested in the services of Hugo Larsson. As per Berger, the Dane has been target by a host of other European giants, including Manchester United.
In 2023, the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig were also interested in the 20-year-old, who is making a name for himself in the Bundesliga.
With a contract until 2029, Eintracht Frankfurt have immense leverage and could demand a fortune, should any club come knocking on the door.
Berger, in fact, expects SGE to demand a fee of at least €50 million. Therefore, an immediate move for Larsson remains highly unlikely, not only for Real Madrid but for any other European club right now.
