Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has gone cryptic on social media which has left supporters puzzled.
Guimaraes and his teammates have come in for criticism in the aftermath of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. The Magpies failed to register a shot at goal but took the lead through Marc Guehi’s own goal before conceding to Daniel Munoz’s header in the 94th minute.
The result saw United end the weekend 11th in the Premier League table. Although they are still just four points off the top four, fans have voiced their frustration at the inconsistent results and performances.

On Monday, the Brazilian then posted another image, this time in English, that said “they say you don’t know what you have until its gone. Truth is, you knew what you had you just thought you’d never lose it.”

Another wrote: “Not everything a footballer puts on social media is about football. He's a very passionate & spiritual bloke. Maybe he was in a reflective mood, saw that, and thought it was poignant”.
