Leicester City’s journey under Ruud Van Nistelrooy begins with a home Premier League fixture against West Ham on December 3, as they look to forget about their Saturday afternoon defeat away at Brentford. Here is the Leicester City predicted lineup as the Foxes look to find a new identity and win three points in Van Nistelrooy’s first game in the hot seat.

How Leicester City Have Lined-up Recently
The weekend’s 4-1 defeat against Brentford saw interim manager Ben Dawson take a defensive approach as he implemented a 3-4-2-1 formation with multiple new faces.
Mads Hermansen is the obvious choice in between the sticks, with centre-backs Jannik Vestergaard, Wout Faes, Caleb Okoli and Conor Coady all sharing minutes. James Justin is the likely right-sided defender due to Ricardo Pereira’s recent injury, whilst minutes on the left side look up for grabs as both Luke Thomas and Victor Kristiansen have started recently.

The double pivot of Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumaré has become a feature of the Foxes side as the pair appeared against Chelsea and Brentford. Providing width and sometimes central support tends to be Facundo Buonanotte and Jordan Ayew as they look to provide a creative spark.
Rounding it up is Jamie Vardy, who has been in fine form lately. However, Patson Daka has also made a return to the fold after a lengthy injury.
Leicester City’s Recent Form and Tactics
Now winless in their last six in all competitions, the Foxes seem to be in trouble, as they sit just one point above 19th. With a new coach and a new system in place, Leicester fans will be expecting to see an upturn in performances. The Dutchman’s time at PSV saw him be adaptable and use all different styles to find victories, as seen through his victory against Ajax.

His time in Holland mostly saw a 4-2-3-1 with a full-back inverting or progressing as high as a winger, whilst the other fullback tucked in to make a 3-2-4-1 when in possession. With the inverted fullback, Leicester will be more identifiable to how they played under Enzo Maresca, which was something Cooper also reverted to against Nottingham Forest this season.
However, despite Van Nistelrooy’s qualities as a manager, the recent Leicester performances have been seriously worrying especially after Brentford’s domination last time out.
Leicester City Injuries to Consider
Harry Winks (Muscle), Ricardo Pereira (Hamstring) and Caleb Okoli (Ankle) are all recent injuries for the Foxes and would mostly be perfect in Ruud’s new system, whilst Abdul Fatawu is set to be sidelined for the season after a cruciate injury.
