Everton have several players whose contracts are set to expire next summer, and that could be a “huge” issue for The Friedkin Group ahead of their takeover, Paul Joyce says.
Writing in The Times on 2 December, the journalist shared that Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Idrissa Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all coming to the end of their deals.
Dan Friedkin is set to complete his takeover of the Toffees from Farhad Moshiri, which is currently pending approval from the Premier League.
Asmir Begovic, Joao Virginia and Mason Holgate, who is on loan at West Brom, are also in the final months of their contracts, with Orel Mangala, Jesper Lindstrom, Jack Harrison and Armando Broja on loan deals that are set to conclude at the end of the campaign.

Everton buyer Dan Friedkin
Dan Friedkin looks set to buy Everton from Farhad Moshiri.
Everton are 15th in the Premier League table after their 4-0 defeat to Manchester United on 1 December, with the performance surely raising concerns about Dyche’s suitability in the Goodison dugout.
The English manager could soon find himself out of a job, with the Toffees set to face Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in 20 days in December.
TFG need to make sure when they make their expected arrival in Merseyside, they start building the team around the likes of Jordan Pickford and Jarrad Branthwaite.
Friedkin will also have a significant decision to make regarding Dyche in the coming weeks, and it remains to be seen how the prospective new owners will handle the initial crisis at the Blues.
In other Everton news, there will be mixed feelings regarding Branthwaite after his performance in the Man United loss.
