Arsenal are still sitting nine points adrift of the Premier League title race despite their win over the weekend.
With yet another victory for Liverpool, the Reds are maintaining their advantage at the top of the table following Arsenal’s dropped points earlier in the campaign.
The Gunners made four signings over the summer, but with two of them loan additions there may be a feeling more could have been done.
A new striker could be on the radar for the new sporting director in north London as Arsenal eye Viktor Gyokeres ahead of the summer.
But he is not the only striker being targeted by Arsenal as the north London outfit now face competition from Barcelona for one of their options.

Barcelona eyeing Arsenal target Alexander Isak from Newcastle
According to Caught Offside, Barcelona are now eyeing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak ahead of next summer’s window.
Arsenal expect Isak to leave Newcastle in the summer and he is viewed as the perfect striker for Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, it is apparent the Gunners are going to face some serious competition with a potential return to La Liga now on the cards for the Swede.
Darren Bent has urged Arsenal to sign Isak already but the lure of playing for one of the world’s biggest clubs in Barca could prove seriously tempting.
It has been suggested Newcastle could demand £120m for Isak next summer but Barcelona are said to potentially be plotting a player plus cash deal.
Arsenal are not struggling for goals this season
Despite being nine points behind the league leaders, Arsenal have not had too many issues in front of goal this season.
Troy Deeney has hailed Kai Havertz as better than Gyokeres recently with the German forward scoring his fifth league goal of the season on the weekend.
The high scoring match in east London certainly helped Arsenal’s goal difference as it made them the Premier League’s second highest scorers.

Despite this, Arsenal are also eyeing Jamie Gittens as the Gunners look to make some major improvements to their squad over the coming months.
