Kimmich hasn’t shared whether Bayern Munich has submitted a contract proposal yet, but discussions between the club and the 29-year-old’s representatives are ongoing. The German international has now stated that he knows when he wants his future resolved, emphasizing his desire for clarity on the situation.

“I will not wait until summer,” Kimmich told ZDF SportStudio (h/tGOAL). “I will sit down in winter and then try to see the bigger picture. And make the right decision.”

When the January window opens in a couple of weeks, Kimmich can begin talks with any club over a pre-contract that will start in July 2025.
