FC Barcelona Vs. Mallorca Lineup: Three Big Changes For Must-Win

FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick will make three big changes when his team faces Mallorca away in La Liga on Tuesday.

The fixture is must-win for the Catalans, who have blown a six-point lead earned at the end of October through an impressive 4-0 thrashing of bitter rival Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

November was a nightmare month, however, which saw Barca lose two matches to Real Sociedad and Las Palmas while also drawing at Celta Vigo when it squandered a 2-o lead in the last six minutes.

Barca is still a point in front of Madrid at the top of the table, and needs to win in Son Moix to make that four again though Los Blancos can top Valencia in their game in hand at head two clear if they stay on track.

At his prematch press conference on Monday, Flick said "the positive part is that November is over and we are starting December".

"The team has given a lot, has run a lot, we have created chances. It's a matter of winning and losing, it's up to us. The positive part is that we create chances and the negative part is that we are not converting them.

"We are the youngest team, we have to learn that when the game gets difficult, and we have a score at zero, you need the whole team to know how to defend as a unit. At the beginning of the season we did it. And the same thing the other way around: when we attack we do it well," Flick explained.

Flick will make several changes compared to the side that lost 2-1 at home to Las Palmas at the weekend.

The defense is pretty much the same, with Inaki Pena in goal supported by a back line of Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez and a Alejandro Balde who vomited blood and had to be stretchered off last time out.

Midfield and attack is where we see the manager tinker most, with Marc Casado and Dani Olmo starting in the places of Pablo Torre and Gavi to partner Pedri.

Lamine Yamal has recovered enough from a muscle overload to occupy his right wing berth, which means that Raphinha returns to the left on the other side of Robert Lewandowski.
