A relegation six-pointer takes centre stage at Goodison Park on Wednesday night as Wolves aim to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat.
Wolves were beaten 4-2 by Bournemouth as Gary O’Neil’s men capitulated in front of an expectant home crowd.
Supporters unsurprisingly called for O’Neil to be sacked after the game, despite the Old Gold winning their previous two matches.
The Wanderers were a shambles defensively against the Cherries, gifting the visitors three penalties, with Jose Sa culpable for two of them.

Chris Sutton labels Jose Sa a ‘stinker’ after Bournemouth showing
Individual errors handed Bournemouth the three points, and O’Neil aimed a sly dig at Sa post-match following his horrific display between the sticks.
The Portuguese shot-stopper had an off day at the weekend, like many of his Wolves teammates, continuing their abysmal defensive record this term.
It’s now a mammoth 32 goals conceded in just 13 Premier League matches and ahead of their clash against Everton on Wednesday, Chris Sutton has issued his concerns for O’Neil’s backline.
“Everton did well for half an hour or so against Manchester United but they just can’t score – they have not found the net in any of their past four games,” Sutton wrote in his BBC Sport column.

“In contrast, Wolves have definitely got a goal in them but their problem is that they are just so open defensively.
“Bournemouth were impressive at Molineux on Saturday but Wolves did not half make things easy for them, and their goalkeeper Jose Sa had a real stinker.
“Gary O’Neil’s side have conceded 32 goals in 13 league games, which makes me think even Everton will score against them.”
Sutton issues Everton vs Wolves prediction
Although Everton haven’t scored in four matches and were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United last time out, Sutton still thinks the Toffees will secure a 2-1 win at Goodison Park.
“This is a huge game at the bottom of the table and my first thought was to go for another draw, but I am actually going to go with the Toffees to nick the three points,” Sutton added.
“They certainly need them, with a tough run of games coming up, starting with the Merseyside derby on Saturday.”
This is arguably O’Neil’s biggest game of the season. An away clash against a relegation rival is the recipe for a sacking if all goes wrong, placing added pressure on the Englishman.
Most fans are already at the end of their tether with the Wolves boss, and failure to take at least a point from Merseyside would spark a mass outrage inside the ground and on social media.
