Napoli are the Serie A table leaders, but coach Antonio Conte expects reinforcements in the coming months.

According to the latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lecce talent Dorgu has emerged as a priority target for the Partenopei.

The versatile Denmark international ticks all the boxes at the Stadio Maradona as an emerging player with a relatively low salary who can cover different roles in defence and midfield.

Dorgu has recently extended his contract until 2029 and Gazzetta confirms that both Chelsea and Tottenham sounded out his availability during the 2024 summer transfer window.

According to the report, RB Leipzig and West Ham are now interested in the 20-year-old, but Napoli are planning to send a January bid to secure the defender’s signature and allow Lecce to keep the player on loan until the end of the season.

Gazzetta claims that Lecce’s asking price is around €40m, but the Partenopei hope to strike an deal with the Salentini for €30m plus bonuses.
