Odsonne Edouard’s post-Celtic career has taken another twist: his loan spell at Leicester City could be cut short.
The French striker joined the newly promoted English Premier League outfit in the summer after being confirmed not to be in Oliver Glasner’s plans at Crystal Palace.

Now, though, after conjuring just 27 league minutes since joining the Foxes, Football Insider reports that the club are considering terminating his loan to make way for another arrival at the top end of the pitch.
This latest update on Edouard’s future comes after he was sensationally linked with a return to Celtic near the end of the summer transfer window, although CeltsAreHere exclusively revealed at the time it was never on the cards.
Given he has played competitively for two teams this season – Palace and Leicester – Edouard cannot turn out for another.
Should Leicester indeed terminate his loan, he will be stuck in South London for the remainder of the campaign, and it remains to be seen whether Glassner will utilise his services.
Since leaving Celtic for England in 2021, things haven’t worked out for Edouard. He showed glimpses of form at Selhurst Park but has never found consistency in a post-Celtic career with which he will undoubtedly be disappointed.
