Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw played 71 minutes as Jamaica defeated South Africa 3-2 in an exciting five-goal friendly clash.
Linda Motlhalo gave the visitors a half-time lead with a fine team goal at Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay.
But the Reggae Girlz equalised in the 58th minute thanks to Vyan Sampson and then Drew Spence added a second goal to give Jamaica a 63rd minute lead, captain Shaw setting her up for a fine headed effort.
It was 3-1 in the 76th minute thanks to Kayla McKenna after a defensive error and, despite Amogelang Motau pulling one back, Jamaica held on to emerge victorious 6-2 over the two-match series.
On Saturday, in the first of the two games between the nations, Shaw’s second half brace helped Jamaica beat South Africa 3-0.
That friendly also took place in Montego Bay with Shaw and her team-mates returning to winning ways after a run of difficult defeats to France, Brazil and Chile.
