The latest injury updates and team news from Manchester United ahead of their visit to Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Manchester United’s clashes with Arsenal have gone down in Premier League folklore after the two clubs went head-to-head for major honours throughout the last 30 years.

Both sides head into their latest clash looking for a win that can boost their causes in the top half of the table as the Gunners look to close the gap on leaders Liverpool with a win at the Emirates Stadium. However, for United their aims are more modest for the time being as they look to claim three points that could see them end the week in the European places and help new head coach Ruben Amorim continue what has been a promising start to his Red Devils reign.

There are some major calls for the former Sporting CP boss to make ahead of the game as he awaits news on the fitness of a number of players. But what is the latest team news from United as they prepare to renew one of the longest standing rivalries in the Premier League?

Leny Yoro

The young defender is yet to make his United debut after suffering a foot injury in pre-season. However, Yoro is now back in training and there is a chance he could be in the matchday squad for the meeting with the Gunners. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Amorim said: "Maybe Leny Yoro is going be in the squad. I feel he is in a good moment now, his fitness is better. He is a special talent, we have to be careful in the first moment. We didn't have too many training [sessions] together. He has been training with a small group of players. He is really fast, a modern defender. He will be good when we want to press high and you leave a lot of strikers in this league one against one, he can manage that. He is very good with the ball so I am very excited.”

Lisandro Martínez

The Argentina defender will miss the game against the Gunners as he serves a one-match ban after picking up his fifth booking of the season in Sunday’s win against Everton Expected return date: Saturday 7th December

Kobbie Mainoo

The young midfielder will also miss the meeting with Mikel Arteta’s side after being handed a fifth yellow card of the season against the Toffees Expected return date: Saturday 7th December

Victor Lindelöf

The Sweden international has not appeared for United since he made a late appearance as a substitute in last month’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea. He suffered a groin injury during Sweden’s 2-1 win against Slovakia last month and returned to Manchester for treatment. As it stands there is no confirmed return date for the defender Expected return date: Unknown

Jonny Evans

The veteran defender missed the Europa League win against Bodo/Glimt and Sunday’s Premier League clash with Everton. Although the exact nature of the injury has not been explained, there is some hope Evans could be available to face the Gunners Expected return date: Thursday 5th December
