Liverpool travel to St. James’ Park tomorrow night where they will face a tricky Newcastle United side.
The Magpies sit 11th in the Premier League standings but have managed some impressive wins this season, most notably beating Arsenal 1-0, one of the many results that has allowed Liverpool to go nine points clear in the standings.
With Liverpool heading into tomorrow night’s clash off the back of beating Manchester City and Real Madrid last week, Arne Slot’s side will be filled with confidence in taking on Newcastle, who lost star striker Alexander Isak to injury on the weekend against Crystal Palace.
And Eddie Howe has now shared if the Swedish international will be fit enough to feature against Liverpool.

Isak unlikely to feature vs Liverpool after missing Newcastle training
Speaking to the press ahead of tomorrow’s game, the Newcastle manager revealed that Isak had not been seen in training, with the £66m signing from Real Sociedad now potentially set to miss Wednesday’s tie against Liverpool.
Howe said when asked about Isak’s fitness: “He took a knock to his hip and wasn’t able to carry on. We haven’t seen him in training yet. We don’t think it’s a long-term injury. We’ll see [if he plays vs Liverpool], it will be about pain management.”
With Slot saying Alisson Becker is close to returning for Liverpool, the Reds have been dealing with big injury problems themselves, though that still hasn’t stopped the Anfield side from picking up an incredible 18 wins from 20 games this season.

Liverpool can afford to be fearless against Newcastle
Having won arguably their two biggest games of the season so far last week against City and Madrid, Liverpool have every right to feel on top of the world, with the Reds looking like strong favourites to win the Premier League and to challenge for the UEFA Champions League.
And against a Newcastle side without Isak, Liverpool can afford to be fearless against the Toon, who could struggle to match the Reds’ intensity in a game that Slot will be determined to win with the pressure now on for the Merseyside giants.
Indeed, Liverpool will want to send yet another message to the Premier League that they are on an unstoppable run to the title, and beating Newcastle will do just that for the Reds, who will feel confident about picking up another three points.
