Leny Yoro Man United

Leny Yoro has been slowly making a return from his long-term injury and Ruben Amorim has revealed that the young defender is finally fit to be part of Wednesday’s matchday squad.
Yoro was one of the most talked-about summer signings in England but the centre-back is yet to play a single game for Manchester United. Back in August, he suffered a fractured metatarsal which eventually required surgery and since then, it has been a long road to recovery for the youngster.
The 19-year-old has been training for the previous few weeks and finally, he is ready and will be available for selection for Man United’s away trip to Arsenal.
“Maybe Leny Yoro is going to be in the squad,” the MUFC manager said in his pre-match press conference.
“I felt he’s in a good moment now, his fitness is better, so I think he is going to be in the squad.
“We didn’t have too many trainings together. He’s training not alone but with a small group of players. He’s really fast but he’s a modern defender and that is good when you want to press high.
“I think he is a special talent but we have to be careful in this first moment. You have a lot of strikers, especially in this league, one-against-one. I think he can manage that. He’s very good with the ball so I’m really excited but we have to be careful. We have to manage the load and the minutes in the beginning but I’m really excited to see Leny Yoro playing.”

Yoro’s fitness is a major boost for Ruben Amorim especially since Lisandro Martinez is suspended and Evans along with Lindelof are out injured.
Any other game and Amorim would have straightaway thrown Leny Yoro into the starting lineup. However, since this is Arsenal, there’s a very slim chance that the Frenchman prodigy will start.
Also, Yoro is a right-footed center-back and Mazraoui has done very well in that role. There’s no way Ruben Amorim will bench Noussair Mazraoui, so it’s safe to predict that Leny Yoro will get a watching brief at the Emirates Stadium.
Lisandro Martinez’s absence means Luke Shaw will play on the left-hand side while De Ligt and Mazraoui will be the two other centre-backs. Harry Maguire is also back in action but the England international, like Leny Yoro, will also start on the bench.
For this high-profile game, Ruben Amorim won’t make any unnecessary changes to his first XI but Yoro’s comeback is a major boost for the manager’s long-term plans. The 19-year-old was snatched out of Real Madrid’s clutches and it will be fascinating to see what he’s bring to the table.
Instantly, we might not see the best of him but if he can properly adapt to Amorim’s plans then by the end of this season, Leny Yoro will have turned himself into a top Premier League centre-back.
