Amorim told which Arsenal player is set to give them a certain win in ‘real acid test’ at…

Manchester United fans will know better than to overreact if the side are overturned by Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The game marks only the fourth of Ruben Amorim’s tenure and just his third in the Premier League, with him yet to taste defeat in the dugout as United’s head coach.

Most pundits are expecting that to change tomorrow night, however. Arsenal haven’t had the start to the season that Mikel Arteta would’ve hoped, given that they’re currently nine points away from Liverpool in first, but the recent return of one integral starter has seen their form pick up significantly.

Indeed, Martin Odegaard was absent from the squad for their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth, 2-2 draw with Liverpool and 1-0 loss to Newcastle United. Since his return to the fold, the Gunners drew with Chelsea before comfortably beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 and West Ham 5-2.

His inclusion will, of course, boost Arsenal’s chances of coming out on top in the midweek battle of the Premier League goliaths.

Chris Sutton believes they’ll do so almost effortlessly, too. Previewing the clash with BBC Sport, he penned: “I can understand the excitement about Ruben Amorim from Manchester United fans because he is a hugely charismatic guy who comes across so well in interviews.

“I am pleased for him that he has got off to a decent start because he is unbeaten after his first three games, but this is the real acid test that will demonstrate where United are at.

“We have seen some classic games between these teams down the years, but Arsenal are a long way ahead of United, especially now Odegaard is back – he has taken them to the levels we were expecting from them all season.

“It would be a real eye-opener if United go to Emirates Stadium and get something, but I can’t see it.

“Arsenal have scored a lot of goals in the past week, and that should continue here. They will win – and win well.”
