Jamie Carragher predicts Everton showdown v Wolves for Sky Sports

Jamie Carragher has predicted that Everton will claim all three points when they face Wolves at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The Toffees will be determined to bounce back from their 4-0 loss to Manchester United on Sunday [1 December] as they host Gary O’Neil’s side in the Premier League on 4 December.

Previewing the game for Sky Sports’ Super6, Carragher predicted a 1-0 win for Sean Dyche and Everton.

Dyche’s side are winless in their last five Premier League games and find themselves sitting 15th in the table, sitting just two points above the relegation zone.

Wolves, who sit 18th, could go above the Merseyside-based club if they come away with a win on Wednesday.

Therefore, it is imperative that Everton claim all three points in front of the home crowd and fans will be hopeful that Carragher’s prediction comes true.

With the Toffees facing a tough run of fixtures against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, the game against Wolves is proving to be a must-win game for Dyche.

Goalscoring, meanwhile, has emerged as a major headache for the team, having failed to score in each of their last four league games.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s performances in particular have left much to be desired, with the striker finding the back of the net just twice in the league so far.

The England international needs to up his game as Dyche’s side needs to steer away from the relegation zone, but the same can be said for the likes of Jesper Lindstrom too.

In other Everton news, Chris Beesley was baffled by what Dyche said after the loss to Manchester United.
