Everton are languishing towards the relegation zone and look set to be involved in another relegation battle.

Everton were thumped 4-0 by Manchester United on the weekend and reside just two points above the relegation zone.

That’s put major pressure on manager Sean Dyche, who has lost the majority of the Goodison Park fanbase.

Dyche’s pragmaticism is starting to frustrate supporters as the goals have completely dried up – failing to score in the last four games.

It’s understood the Friedkin Group have drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Dyche but now their number one target is being eyed by Premier League rivals West Ham United.

West Ham eyeing Everton-linked Sergio Conceicao

Everton have identified former Porto manager Sergio Conceicao as their leading candidate to replace Dyche.

The forward-thinking coach would implement a much more attractive style of play, so his potential arrival is certainly an exciting one for supporters.

However, with Julen Lopetegui under fire, West Ham are now believed to be eyeing Conceicao, according to The Guardian.

The report claims The Hammers are showing a serious interest in the 50-year-old, who is out of work and available.

Conceicao has support within the club and he is thought to be open to joining West Ham, so it looks as though Everton could be set to miss out on the Friedkin Group’s favourite.

All roads lead towards Maurizio Sarri

It seems Maurizio Sarri is the most likely candidate to replace Dyche at this stage.

The Friedkin Group love Sarri and likely would’ve appointed him at Roma had it not been for his Lazio links.

Sarri wants to return to the Premier League and is keen to land his next role in January, which is around the time the Everton take over is set to be complete.

So it seems all roads are leading to Sarri.
