Nottingham Forest are set to travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side returned to winning ways against Ipswich Town and will be looking to strengthen their European bid from here on.
Manchester City are in a bit of a slump, having gone a whopping seven games without a win.
Nottingham Forest have been predicted to lose 2-1 by Paul Merson, but he did highlight that the Reds can cause Man City problems on the counter attack.
Interestingly, it’s the Nottingham Forest fans who caused Erling Haaland problems in the past, as he ended up being very rattled back in 2023.
Nottingham Forest fans have already rattled Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland has been his dominant self this season in the Premier League, sitting pretty at the top of the goalscoring charts with 12 goals in 13 appearances.
However, he’s failed to score in his last two games.

MORE FOREST STORIES
Nottingham Forest fans could be heard signing ‘Champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that’ to Manchester City at the City Ground in February of that year (Nottinghamshire Live).
Haaland then took a cheeky swipe as he replied during the celebrations of Manchester City lifting the Champions League trophy with ‘Champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that’.
Erling Haaland’s record against Nottingham Forest
Erling Haaland has played four times against Nottingham Forest since making the move to Man City.
He’s scored five during those four games, which have resulted in three wins and a draw.
The early signs don’t look too promising for Forest, but this is a side that has been transformed defensively, so there is hope.
Nikola Milenkovic and Murillo have built a formidable partnership, whilst Ola Aina and Alex Moreno have been simply superb on either flank.
