Former Premier League chairman shares Chelsea players he had doubts about now coming good

One former Premier League chairman has shared the names of some Chelsea players that he had some question marks about, who are all now coming good.

Things have been going from good to much better for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca so far this season. The Italian is really getting a tune out of these players, something that a couple of managers have come in and tried but failed to do before him.

The players seem to love Maresca and really want to listen to him and play for him. We are seeing a style of play at Chelsea now, and they are starting to dominate teams during games.

Maresca will be hoping that momentum continues tomorrow night when his side face Southamtpon in the Premier League clash.

Many people had some question marks at the start of the season, but players are proving them wrong right now.

Neto has been great

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan said: “If you look at some of the players that I had big question marks about in so far as my question marks are of any merits, the player up top, the centre-forward is beginning to score goals because I felt he was profligate last season — now he’s scoring goals. [Pedro] Neto’s come in, I think he’s been a brilliant addition. They’ve got [Romeo] Lavia fit, so he’s in the side now.”

I think Neto was always a class signing to be honest and the way Chelsea fans mostly celebrated it suggests that many of us think the same. I do think that many did share his doubts on Nicolas Jackson though, who we can only assume he is speaking about in that first line.
