Arsenal already have edge over Liverpool in Premier League title race - and the rest of big six …

When it comes to the big six in the Premier League, Arsenal appear to be on top. At least it seems that way based on results.

Liverpool lead the way at the top of the Premier League table and Arsenal have a mammoth job in trying to chase them down to win the title. The Reds, in Arne Slot's first season in charge, hold a nine-point lead over the Gunners, who are at this moment in time Liverpool's nearest challengers.

If Arsenal are to go all the way and not make it three years in a row where they have been the bridesmaid and not the bride, the games between the teams at the top of the table could be crucial. And that's where the Gunners seemingly have the edge.

Data shows that Arsenal are very strong when it comes to playing against their biggest rivals at the top of the Premier League table, with the Gunners having not lost against any of the other so-called big six in more than a year in the Premier League.

Against some clubs, Arsenal have not lost in more than three years!

Arsenal's worst most recent record against any of the top six is against Manchester City, with City's last win against the Gunners coming in April 2023. Mikel Arteta has not tasted Premier League defeat against Pep Guardiola's side in 587 days.

Arsenal have not lost a Premier League match with Manchester United in 803 days - stretching back to September 2022.

Then come north London rivals Tottenham. The Gunners have won four of the last five encounters with the closest rivals, with the last defeat a 3-0 reverse in May 2022 - a difference of 903 days.

Despite their impressive campaign to date, Liverpool could only draw with the Gunners earlier in the season and have actually failed to beat Arsenal in the league since March 2022 - 987 days ago.

And as for Chelsea? Well it has been 1,199 days since the Blues beat Arteta's team - on August 22, 2021 - more than three years ago!

Now all Arsenal have to do is make sure they keep getting results against the rest of the Premier League teams and chase down Liverpool at the top of the table.
