Everton vs Wolves: Gary O'Neil provides encouraging injury update ahead of crucial match

Wolves are set to travel to Everton on Wednesday with Gary O’Neil providing an encouraging injury update.

Wolves’ match against the Toffees could be key for the manager. Calls for O’Neil to be sacked have grown once more after Saturday’s 4-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

The club’s awful start to the season has left them 18th in the Premier League with relegation seeming a real possibility.

As a result, O’Neil is one of the worst Wolves managers in modern history as his win percentage continues to plummet.

With O’Neil knowing that a victory would see the club emerge from the relegation zone, the Englishman needs a positive result.

Thankfully, Wolves have received a big boost going into the game as the manager confirmed two stars are ready to play vs Everton.

Santiago Bueno has become one of Wolves’ most important players this season. After Yerson Mosquera injured his ACL vs Villa, the defender has become a regular starter.

However, during the international break, Bueno picked up a knock which has subsequently kept him out of Wolves’ recent matches.

Now, ahead of the Everton clash, the Englishman has said Bueno has trained and has had ‘no issues’.

Another player who has been out of action since the international break, Pablo Sarabia has had an issue with his calf.

This has kept him out of both the Fulham and Bournemouth clashes, with the Spaniard an unused substitute for the latter match.

Now, O’Neil has confirmed that Sarabia has trained and has ‘no issues’ going into the match.
