Ian Wright has waxed lyrical about the influence of one Arsenal star ahead of the Premier League clash against Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side.
Manchester United will travel to the Emirates on Wednesday evening, with kick-off for the Premier League showdown slated for 8:15pm UK time.
The Red Devils are currently ninth in the Premier League table and Ruben Amorim’s men are only four points off from the top four after 13 matches played.
United manager Amorim picked up his first Premier League win on Sunday after the Red Devils inflicted a crushing 4-0 defeat on Everton at Old Trafford.
The 39-year-old Portuguese coach has overseen two wins and one draw across all competitions at United since his arrival from Sporting CP in November.
Amorim left Sporting CP after United triggered the £9.25m release clause in his contract and replaced Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford dugout.
Former United manager Erik ten Hag was sacked by the Premier League club in late October after the Red Devils’ poor run of form in the 2024-25 campaign.

Wright on Man Utd vs Arsenal
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side are second in the Premier League table and the Gunners are nine points adrift from Liverpool in the title race.
The Gunners have won their last two league matches, including a convincing 5-2 win over West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Ian Wright has said that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will know that the Arsenal clash will be a “different kettle of fish.”
Speaking at The Kelly and Wrighty Show, he said (via the Metro): “With Manchester United and as good as it is for them at the minute, beating Ipswich and Everton, Amorim will know this is a different kettle of fish with Arsenal.
“It’s a game Arsenal have to win. I think it’s a free hit for Manchester United with their improvement.
“I do believe against Ipswich and Everton that Manchester United had a lot of the ball and they looked different with the ball, they had a lot of it.
“It’s going to be interesting to see what they look like without the ball against Arsenal, out of possession. If that kicks in then, they’re going to be a problem.”

Wright praises Arsenal star ahead of Man Utd clash
Wright admitted that he was impressed with how well Bukayo Saka played for Arsenal while Martin Odegaard was sidelined with an injury.
Martin Odegaard missed a run of matches in September and October due to injury before returning to action for the Gunners in November.
Wright believes that Arsenal captain Odegaard is the “difference” for the Gunners and called him the “main cog” of Mikel Arteta’s team.
“It just shows how great Saka is because with everybody else, you could just see them fall away with Odegaard missing,” he added.
“But with Saka, he just continued to do what he does and then improved when Odegaard gets back. It’s the difference.
“It’s like Rodri with [Manchester] City. We lose him [Odegaard] and something’s gone. Too many things work off the back of him, he’s that main cog.”
