Ruud van Nistelrooy has had quite the career throughout his years in football.
As a player, Van Nistelrooy shone on the big stage for the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, scoring buckets full of goals and winning pretty much everything you could dream of.
In his limited time as a manager, the Dutchman won two trophies out of a possible three and now is preparing to make his mark in the Premier League.
There aren’t many things that would take him aback nowadays, but following Van Nistelrooy’s appointment as the new Leicester City manager, there was one thing that left him stunned.

Ruud van Nistelrooy makes Leicester and Real Madrid training ground comparison
The Leicester owners have worked tirelessly over the last decade to ensure the club is operating at world class standards.
One of their biggest moves was to develop a state of the art training ground for the Foxes, known as Seagrave.
Opened in December 2020, the facilities have included swimming pools, a plethora of training pitches and even a nine-hole golf course.

Some have even claimed that they are the best facilities in all of Europe and Van Nistelrooy admitted that it was on par with Real Madrid’s.

He said: “It’s amazing. Everybody tells you how great the facilities are. “It’s hard to believe. I met Ancelotti in Madrid last year, but if you changed the logos, it’s similar.”

Ruud van Nistelrooy will implement ‘hands-on approach’ at Leicester
In the early days of Van Nistelrooy’s tenure, it’s clear to see that he will be involved in a lot of what happens on the pitch.
Leicester fans have noticed that Van Nistelrooy’s coaching style will be hands-on, with videos from his first training session seeing him go up close and personal with the players.
Reports have suggested that his backroom staff will be a lot smaller than previous managerial regimes as he takes full responsibility going forward.
