Arsenal have a few injury doubts ahead of Sunday afternoon’s match against Liverpool, with Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber chief among them.
Both Saka and Timber had been out of training until the last couple of days, but there was still some hope that they might be able to make their injury comebacks in time for this weekend’s game.
Those hopes have now been boosted by pictures of both players with the Arsenal squad ahead of the game.

One Arsenal fan shared photos on Twitter of both Saka and Timber arriving with the squad at their pre-match hotel. The players stay together the night before a match even if the team are playing at home.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that both players are fit to start, or even that they’re fit to make the squad.
Saka was with the team at the hotel ahead of Arsenal’s home fixture against Manchester City last season, only to miss out on the squad completely. There were some suggestions he might only have been there to throw off any City spies.
Perhaps it could be the same again, with Saka and Timber only joining the team to play mind games with Arne Slot.

One player who does seem to be unavailable is Riccardo Calafiori. The defender was neither spotted in training nor with the squad ahead of the game, so it seems the injury reports in the Italian media were accurate.
Martin Odegaard, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Kieran Tierney will also miss the game through injury, whilst William Saliba is suspended.
