Kieran Tierney could be thrust back into Arsenal action with a number of injury concerns in Mikel Arteta's camp.
The Gunners face Manchester United in the English Premier League at the Emirates on Wednesday as they look to make it four wins on the bounce and add to their impressive 13 goals in those outings. Last time out it was a London derby triumph at West Ham but that win came at a price with Gabriel forced off at half-time and fellow defender Riccardo Calafiori also replaced early in the second period.
Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko were the two called on from the bench at the Hammers with Tierney left watching from the sidelines once again after returning to the fold but he will be desperate to taste first team minutes and get his career back up and running after suffering a major injury blow at Euro 2024 with Scotland.
Arsenal fans were left stunned at the weekend when Tierney was not called upon with #WeWantTierney trending on social media. Whether or not he gets the nod to face Ruben Amorim's men remains to be seen with Arteta coy when issuing an update on the state of play in his squad.
He told Football London: "We're going to have a meeting this afternoon. We have done a training session. We monitor and keep some players away from certain activities. After that meeting we'll decide who is fit and available and who will start. They all want to play."
