Premier League kick-off times - Why Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs matches are staggered

The festive football frenzy is about to kick off with all 20 Premier League teams in action this week. Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham included.

Arsenal take on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, while Chelsea are away against Southampton on the same night. Spurs face Bournemouth away around 24 hours later on Thursday.

However, fans should note that the kick-off times are slightly different from the usual 7:45pm or 8pm kick-off times. Chelsea's game at Southampton kicks off at 7:30pm, while both Arsenal vs Man United and Bournemouth vs Southampton start at 8.15pm.

This change is due to all Premier League matches being broadcast live on Amazon Prime this week, allowing fans to spread their viewing and potentially watch more games. It's not the three clubs affected by these changes - all midweek games will either kick off at 7:30pm or 8.:5pm.

Tuesday night sees Ipswich Town take on Crystal Palace (7:30pm kick-off), Ruud van Nistelrooy makes his managerial debut for Leicester City against West Ham United at the King Power Stadium (8:15pm kick-off).
