Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Southampton in Premier League Clash
How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have shared the duties in goal with the defensive line being shuffled around. Moises Caicedo, Axel Disasi, Malo Gusto and Wesley Fofana have all started at right-back since Reece James went down with injury. Marc Cucurella has largely made the left-back spot his own after losing it to James and Gusto briefly, while Renato Veiga usually fills in for European ties.

In the middle of the defense Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Fofana, and Tosin Adarabioyo have started in different combinations.
In the middle of the park, the deeper roles have been occupied by Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and even Cesare Casadei. This usually sees one of the two move forward while the other partners an inverting full-back.
In attack, Jadon Sancho, Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Joao Felix have played out wide. Felix has also operated in the middle alongside Christopher Nkunku and Cole Palmer.
The striker spot remains Nicolas Jackson’s to lose while Marc Guiu has been used as the rotational option recently.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
Maresca remains true to his 4-2-3-1 setup which has become a more controlling formation in recent weeks. Since the experiment with Felix and Nkunku as attacking midfielders against Noah there’s been a stronger emphasis on getting technical players in and around the box while the full-backs and defensive midfielder help recycle possession.

The Blues are on a run of six matched unbeaten including four wins in that time. With two clean sheets on the bounce and their goalscoring touch back in force, things are looking up for the team.
Chelsea Injuries to Consider
James is sidelined and was joined by Fofana on Sunday, the manager has said that the French defender will miss “weeks” while discussing a timeline for his English colleague.
Chelsea Predicted Lineup
There will be a forced change with one new injury to the back line but there could be some rotation further up the pitch after Sancho’s two consecutive starts while Lavia could be protected and not start twice in the span of a few days.
