Mikel Arteta has remained tight-lipped about Gabriel Magalhaes’ availability for Arsenal’s crucial Premier League showdown with Manchester United on Wednesday evening.Gabriel Magalhaes, who opened the scoring in Arsenal’s 5-2 victory over West Ham on Saturday, was forced off at halftime due to an injury sustained earlier in the week during Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League win over Sporting CP.

Speaking to reporters, Arteta confirmed the injury but refrained from providing a definitive update. “We have done a training session, we will monitor and keep a few players away from certain activities,” he said. “After that meeting, I will decide who is fit, who is available, and who will start.”

When asked about Gabriel’s optimistic social media post that read, “See you Wednesday,” Arteta laughed, adding, “I know, they all want to play.” However, he cautioned fans not to read too much into such posts, simply replying, “No,” when pressed further.

The Red Devils’ forwards, Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford, each scored twice, showcasing a newfound intensity under the Portuguese manager. Despite back-to-back wins, Amorim faces significant selection challenges ahead of the Emirates clash.

Key players Lisandro Martínez and Kobbie Mainoo are suspended, while captain Bruno Fernandes’ fitness is uncertain. Fernandes, who contributed two assists against Everton, was substituted in the 65th minute and later seen icing his ankle.

Amorim will be hoping his influential skipper, who has recorded seven goal involvements in as many games, recovers in time.
