Manchester United have begun life brightly under Ruben Amorim, with two wins and a draw since he took the reins in November.
The Red Devils have been on the up since Erik ten Hag’s departure, with Ruud van Nistelrooy steadying the ship and Amorim also doing well.
Man United drew 1-1 with Ipswich in Amorim’s debut before beating Bodo/Glimt 3-2 and then thrashing Everton 4-0 last weekend.
Now, the Red Devils will face a high-flying Arsenal side at Old Trafford, with Amorim eager to deal a blow to the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes.
Speaking on Monday night, Amorim also provided an update on summer signing Leny Yoro.

Leny Yoro could be in Manchester United squad v Arsenal
Amorim suggested that Yoro could make his Man United debut against Arsenal on Wednesday.
The Red Devils signed the 19-year-old defender from Lille for £52million in the summer, and he arrived to much fanfare.
However, Yoro was forced to undergo surgery on a foot injury suffered during pre-season in the United States.
The 19-year-old has not featured since, but returned to training in October and could potentially make his Man United debut at the Emirates Stadium.
Amorim, speaking to reporters, said he is “excited” about the prospect of finally seeing the “special talent” in action for the Old Trafford side.
“Maybe Leny Yoro is going be in the squad,” Amorim said. “I feel he is in a good moment now, his fitness is better.
“He is a special talent, we have to be careful in the first moment. We didn’t have too many training [sessions] together. He has been training with a small group of players.
“He is really fast, a modern defender. He will be good when we want to press high and you leave a lot of strikers in this league one against one, he can manage that. He is very good with the ball so I am very excited.”
However, Amorim also urged caution with regards to Yoro’s workload now he’s just returning to action.
“We have to be careful,” he said. “We have to manage the load and minute in the beginning – but I am really excited to see Leny Yoro playing.”
Where Yoro could fit in at Man United
Yoro mostly played in a back four at Lille, which likely would have been the case at Man United under Ten Hag.
However, Amorim has been lining the Red Devils up in a back three, which means Yoro could well be in line either as the central defender or on the right.
At the same time, Mazraoui has been a revelation on the right, and his partnership with De Ligt has been solid so far.
It’s probably a good thing that Man United’s defence is currently strong, as it means Yoro won’t have to be rushed back.
With a busy festive schedule now on the cards, it makes sense for Yoro to be eased back into action and utilised sparingly until he’s fully up to speed in a few weeks’ time.
Back in October, it was reported that Yoro told friends that the Arsenal trip was in his sights for his return. It looks like this may well be the case.
Manchester United are scheduled to kick off against Arsenal at 8:15pm GMT at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 4 December.
