EXCLUSIVE with Graeme Bailey
After a disappointing opening 13 games of the Premier League season, 2025 additions are already being considered at Crystal Palace.
Oliver Glasner will be increasingly confident that he will lead the Eagles to safety after drawing to Newcastle at the weekend.
This result sees Crystal Palace on a run of one loss in five – with a fated six-pointer to go against Ipswich on Tuesday night.
Sitting 17th currently, the next few games will be key and the January transfer window promises to be busy with Glasner demanding two additions.
In order to do so, it is reported that Dougie Freedman has been looking in South America.
Now, sources have informed We Are Palace that the Copa Libertadores was of particular interest to the Eagles.

We Are Palace can confirm that at the Estadio Mas Monumental, two players were of interest to scouts from South London.
Both players of interest play for Botafogo, with Igor Jesus and Luiz Henrique both being players Crystal Palace are keen on signing.
Jesus has been labelled with a £30m price tag by Botafogo, while Henrique has a £25m price tag.
With the Textor link, a deal may be easy to complete although Textor will be keen to receive the full amount considering the financial trouble his Lyon side is in.
Brazilian double could delight Oliver Glasner
So far this season, Crystal Palace have scored just 11 goals – which is among the lowest in the entire league.
So adding a player like Jesus – who has described himself to FIFA as resembling Vinicius Junior – along with Henrique who was linked with the Eagles last month, could be welcomed by Glasner.
Henrique scored in the final, which will have impressed those watching.
Adding a pair of players like these would be a very impressive double deal for the Eagles.
